Delhi’s New Lt Governor Is Vinai Saxena, Ex Chief Of Khadi Commission

New Delhi: Delhi got its new Lieutenant Governor in Vinai Kumar Saxena on Monday, only days after his ancestor Anil Baijal surrendered refering to “individual reasons”.
Till as of late, Mr Saxena, 64, was the Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

“The President of India has been satisfied to name Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena to be the Lt Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi with impact from the date he expects charge of his office,” read a press report from the President’s office.

Mr Saxena is one of the individuals from the public board of trustees to recognize the 75th commemoration of India’s Independence. This advisory group is going by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In November 2020, Mr Saxena was named as an individual from the powerful Padma Awards Selection Committee for the year 2021 by the Government of India.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal invited Mr Saxena’s arrangement and guaranteed him of his bureau’s full collaboration.

“For the benefit of individuals of Delhi, I stretch out a warm greeting to the recently delegated Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena. To improve Delhi, he will get full participation from the Delhi bureau,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.
